Dear Families and Caregivers,
February marks the beginning of Black History Month. This year, along with studying prominent leaders and influential people, we have partnered with One Love Cultured Kids. The One Love Cultured Kids month-long program consists of multiple parts. One, a cultural knowledge bulletin board will be displaying images and information about the Black experience. Two, an interactive jeopardy game based on the knowledge board. Three, an analysis of Kwame Alexander’s poem, “The Undefeated”. Fourth, students will color and display murals around the building based on the culture board and the Black Experience. This will culminate in a performance of story, dance, music, and rhythm for our students on Friday, February 20th.
ECO Action is coming!: We’re excited to announce our second Eco Action Week Eco Action Schedule, February 23-26, 2026, the Wind Derby! We’re inviting families and community members to join us during school hours to help with a fun, hands-on event that brings our lessons to life. We need your help to make this event a success. Please sign up to volunteer!
Kids Heart Challenge: We are proud to participate in the American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge. It is a fun and meaningful program that teaches students how to keep their hearts, bodies, and minds healthy while giving back to those in need. Through this challenge, students learn the importance of physical activity, healthy choices, and kindness. This program empowers students to be active, set goals, and understand the impact of helping others, all while earning rewards that support our school.
Please consider joining us! (If more than half of our school signs up and we raise $1,000, our PE and recess program will receive $500 to use towards equipment and student activities.)

CHB Spring Fling, March 14, Early Bird Tickets Available Now!: The CHB Spring Fling is our signature adult fundraiser, bringing our school community together for a fun and festive night out. Guests will enjoy great food, games, music, and an exciting tricky tray featuring fantastic baskets to win through a raffle—all while supporting important programs and initiatives at CHB. It’s a night to relax, connect, and give back.
