Welcome to CHB! Charles H. Bullock Elementary School is a vibrant community with many socially, culturally, and educationally enriching programs that are supported by engaged PTA volunteers. We know all parents are busy. Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something!

We encourage each parent to commit to just one committee below. Consider your skills, interest, and time. While we appreciate enthusiastic parents who like to sign-up for everything (we can relate), we don’t want you to burn out by the end of the year. So please commit to one committee that you feel you can stick with.

Most committees are just 1-2 hour/month commitment with some seasonal ebbs and flows when preparing for events, etc.

Green Team

This committee supports our magnet theme and Environmental Science teacher Ms. Woschinko to coordinate eco-action events and sustainable initiatives throughout CHB, as well as rebuild and maintain our beautiful gardens and green spaces.

B.A.R.E.T. (Bullock Anti Racist Equity Team)

This committee is comprised of a diverse group of individuals devoted to equity, antiracism, and inclusion. We advocate for content, materials, practices, and language at CHB that reflect and honor diverse ways of experiencing the world.

Sunshine Committee

This committee organizes teacher appreciation initiatives (including the annual Teacher Appreciation Luncheon and Cookie Banquet), as well as events that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our larger school community.

Fundraising/Sponsorship Committee

This committee plans CHB’s major fundraising initiatives. We organize fundraising events, as well as reach out to local businesses and community members to secure financial and in-kind donations for CHB while strengthening community partnerships.

After School Enrichment (ASE)

This committee provides our families with quality low-cost after school enrichment classes. We’ve offered everything from tennis to music video production to chess to animal science. Join the team to sustain and expand this wonderful programming!

Assemblies/Monthly Themed Events

This committee helps with planning, coordinating and executing monthly assemblies and themed events. Committee members may also help with monthly bulletin boards and displays that represent monthly themes.
